Happy Hanukkah, Merry Christmas, Joyous Kwaanza, and all of the other holidays that happen during this season.

Take a moment to take a deep breath, and hang with your pet(s). Groom your horse. Stroke your cat, and spend some time, if it’s a lap cat, just “being” in a chair or on the couch. Play with your dog. Let your gerbil have the run of a room, just for fun. Make googly faces at your goldfish, and watch it respond. Watch your salamander, and see what new thing you learn about it.

It’s the holidays. Stop running around. Be. Then be thankful. Find one thing for which you can be thankful, and share that with someone (and if you want to share it as a comment on this post, I invite that!).

For me, I am so thankful for so many things. I live a beautiful life, with a wonderful husband, and a plethora of cats, dogs, horses, and wild ones. I do work that I love. It doesn’t matter that it took me over 60 years to realize what I was put here to do; I’m doing it NOW.

If I had to choose one thing for which to be thankful, it would be my mom. She instilled in me a sense of wonder, joy and “It could be worse”ness that has served me well over the years.

Okay, two things - I’m thankful for YOU, my gentle readers, who show up to read my ramblings and make my life a total joy when I work with you, either as a coaching client or when I’m talking with your animals.

Happy Holidays, from all of us here at Harmony’s Heart.
