Thanksgiving dogs

This time of year everyone is talking about giving thanks and feeling grateful. At least it comes up once a year.

If I haven’t told y’all how much I appreciate every single person who opens up this blog and reads it, let me do it now.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now. It’s up to me to remember to do this all year long. It’s not just this time of year I’m grateful for you. It’s every single day.

I write because I love to, and to make a connection. Mostly because I love to, though. And you read my words, and maybe now and then they even resonate. That’s pretty cool.

Here’s some other things I’m grateful for:

Supposedly inanimate objects that “talk” to me. Case in point - Ben-eee the Soltera took me to Cheyenne, WY and back yesterday, and on the way home he got wet and dirty. He was soooo happy! I hate to tell him he doesn’t get to stay dirty, because I’m OCD about keeping him clean and pretty, but he loved that he was a “farm car” and not just another pretty face. I laughed out loud when he told me that. So we’ll get him dirty now and then to let him know he’s versatile and can live up to his Subaru name. Best. Car. Ever.

I’m grateful to every animal I’ve talked to. I always learn something. They are such wonderful teachers, and do it all without judgement. Be in the moment, they say. Easier said than done, but excellent advice. Listen to your animals.

I love, love, love, that I can say what’s on my mind and sometimes people even respond to the weirdness. Thank you!

I grateful that my husband has retired and we’re able to get a whole bunch of little projects done around the farm. Plus spend time with one another, and navigate what it means to have both of us home pretty much all the time. Adjustment! (And he did the laundry last week - the man is not a saint, but he’s not afraid to throw dirty clothes in the washing machine, or pick up a mop. So grateful!

What are you grateful for? And what can you do to be grateful all year long?

Love and Hugs to you all -
